'West Wing' cancelled

NBC has decided that the current season of the "The West Wing" (season seven) will be its last. In a way, this might be good, because it will make it possible for the show's writers to have Alan Alda (the Republican) elected president. If the show was to continue with a new president, it'd be hard for the current writers to write for a Republican White House.
