Northwest Airlines is promoting RSS on their hold music

I called Northwest Airlines to make a change to my plane ticket, and when I was put on hold I heard the usual "Please hold for the next available agent..." stuff. Then, the 'announcer' talking over the hold music starts talking about "how to find out about great deals from NWA through our RSS feed. RSS stands for Really Siimple Syndication. Go to nwa.com for more details".

Who at NWA thought that the hold music was a good place to talk about RSS? Has RSS really gone that mainstream?

Wow. I think it really has gone that mainstream: the recent $100 in venture capital for RSS companies, cooked into IE/Longorn, and now on NWA's hold message. Geez. I'll know it is truly mainstream when my Mom asks me about it :)
